Nee Soon South Zone 'G' RC was set up on 1 September 1996 by Associate Professor Ho Peng Kee previously known as Nee Soon East Zone '10' RC under Sembawang GRC and Nee Soon East SMC and is now part of Nee Soon South after the boundary reallocation under Nee Soon GRC after the 2011 General Election.

Since 1997, Zone 'G' RC was awarded the People's Association performance grading of 4 stars and also receiving the Excellence Award for achieving 4-star grade for three consecutive years.

Nee Soon South Zone 'G' RC is a very unique area with only 8 HDB blocks since 1985 and subsequently increasing to 10 blocks in 2010. We are a growing zone with many BTO HDB projects coming up and we also house the first BTO in Yishun (Jadespring). Nee Soon South Zone 'G' RC is becoming a vibrant and lively zone with many springs (Jadespring, Dewspring, Floral Spring, Orchid Spring, Vista Spring) springing up in the next few years!
