The NSS NDOC 15 & SG50 celebrations at the multi-purpose court & open field (opp Khatib Mrt) @ Block 838, was organised by Nee Soon South CCC on Sunday, 9 August 2015. Some 3, 150 residents had participated in this year's special and significance event, with the synchronised SIREN, "LIVE" from Channel News Asia on the reading of Proclamation of Independence by our founding father, Mr Lee Kuan Yew, followed by the National Anthem and Pledge taking. The participants of the mini parade, were students from the uniformed groups of Orchid Park Secondary School and Peiying Primary School. Joining and gracing this event was Grassroots Adviser, Er. Dr. Lee Bee Wah, MP for Nee Soon GRC. [more]

2015 Nee Soon South 1 Day Tangkak Durian Tour with Adviser organised for the 2nd time as tour is popular amongst residents who enjoy durians and shopping.A total of 450 residents joined from youngest at 2 years old to 84 years old. The trip ended off with an 8 course dinner. [more]

In celebration of 50th National Day, Nee Soon South CCC organised a "Super Sunday" with multi-racial singing performance on 9 Aug 2015 from 7:30pm - 10:30pm at the basketball court in front of Blk 838 Yishun St 81. About 2000 residents enjoyed the popular singing performance with their friends and neighbours. [more]

One week of emotional outpour was expressed by Singaporeans from all walks of life to the passing away of founding Prime Minister, Mr Lee Kuan Yew. Nee Soon Community Tribute site at the hardcourt at Block 749, Yishun Street 72 (beside Yishun MRT station) was one of the 18 sites designated for Singaporean to pen their condolences and tribute to him. 150 grassroot leaders and community partners gather enthusiastically at Nee Soon South CC on Sunday 1st March 2015 to receive first hand message from guest speaker Dr Tan Khee Giap about the budget for the year 2015. Dr Tan Khee Giap, Co-Director, Asia Competitiveness Institute (ACI) at LKYSPP,NUS a well-known speaker to the community for many years. [more]
