Official launch of LIFTS at Overhead Bridge linking Khatib MRT Station
At the early morning hours of April 28th, 2013, a pair of Lifts at pedestrian overhead bridge leading to Khatib MRT Station were officially opened by four Grassroots Advisers of Nee Soon GRC. Led by Er Dr Lee Bee Wah (Nee Soon South) and joined by Associate Professor Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim (Nee Soon Central), Mr Patrick Tay Teck Guan BBM (Nee Soon East) and Dr Lim Wee Kiak PBM (Canberra), they officiated at the symbolic ribbon cutting ceremony with Nee Soon South residents and GRLs in attendance. POST BUDGET DIALOUGE WITH GRASSROOTS ADVISER
Each year and without fail, our Grassroots leaders and residents are invited to the post-budget dialogue session to openly discuss and share views on the impact of measures brought about by the fiscal allocations and policies announced by the Minister for Finance. Much were at stake this year as key hot topics such as foreign workers, property prices and certificate of entitlement (COE) hog the limelight as Singapore grapples with inflation, worldwide economic slowdown and impending slower domestic growth.

Chong Pang Social Service Hub
Chong Pang Social Service Hub, located at Blk 131 of Yishun Street 11, is a joint initiative by the Chong Pang Grassroots Organisations and Thye Hua Kwan Moral Charities Ltd. The one-stop Hub serves as a Hub for health, wellness and connectivity for the elderly and the community. It offers convenience by coordinating and facilitating elderly use of current health and social programmes and services available. The Hub is also equipped with a Call Centre to assist and enable residents to navigate through the current healthcare and social care systems.
