Dear Residents of Nee Soon South,
Indeed we can look back with some satisfaction over the improvemnets that we have brought to our estates. There are now lights along the footpath of Sungei Seletar for residents to enjoy a leisurely stroll along the river.
For those who are health conscious, the project is underway to install modern keep fit facilities at the Active Park at Street 81, which will also include an area for skate boarding, street soccer, an exercise corner and petanque court. Construction is scheduled to be completed b the end of the year.
While on sports, it may be timely to share with you that the 16th Asian Games in Guangzhou, China will be held from 12th - 27th Nov. There's a good reason to follow the Games as our athletes are expected to win a few medals for Singapore.
Closer to home, if you're looking for some excitement over the weekends, why not join us for the Community Club Open House on Sunday, 28th November. Come mingle with other residents and discover the many activities that they have. Also the annual Hijrah Night Leisure Cycling will be held on 4th December. It is to commemorate the emigration of Prophet Muhammad and his companions from the city of Mecca to Madinah. This is a multi-racial event and do register at Nee Soon South CC.
Together with our grassroots leaders, I have been actively organising many activities and adding on many facilities to make Nee Soon South a great place to call home. However, it is ultimately you, my dear fellow residents, who will make the difference. I look forward to your support.
I would also like to take this opportunity to wish all our Muslim residents Selamat Hari Raya Aidiladha!
Sincerely,
Er Lee Bee Wah,
MP for Ang Mo Kio GRC
